Pakistan is home to a massive 20 million visually impaired/blind people, placing it among the top suffering countries. The situation becomes grimmer with the fact that a major demographic hails from low income class which could barely afford a living. However, on a plus side 80% of all blindness is curable. Sensing the acute need, Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) rose to the occasion and founded Prevention of Blindness (POB) Trust. From a humble beginning in 2007, POB has come a long way in defying stereotypes associated with free cure.
