PKTI

Pakistan Knitwear Training Institute is a public-private partnership project of the Ministry of Textile Industry, Government of Pakistan and business community to produce trained manpower for the knitwear garments industry. Since 1994, PKTI has been imparting training in all areas of knitwear garments manufacturing. Its trainees, including a large number of females, are proving their worth in different areas of the knitwear garments sector. PKTI owns a furnished building and has the ability to impart training with minimum expenses to at least 250 trainees at a time which can be increased to 750 trainees in a day by running multiple shifts. It has a fully equipped stitching lab, knitting lab, dyeing lab, and a computer lab and is running different courses to cater to the needs of the industry. The knitwear garment sector has emerged to meet the needs of the local market as well as the international market. This product plays a vital role in earning foreign exchange, providing employment at the mass level and contributing a large share in the GDP.
