In March 2000 Col. M. A. Salim (Retd) and Mr. Mazhar-ul-Haq decided that they should establish the most modern of workshops for automobile repairs in Islamabad. Unfortunately, the majority of car owners know little about automobile repair and so often end up paying unjustified huge sums for ordinary repair work. Their aim was to provide an honest and reliable car repair service to the car owners. Thus Auto Club was born with a motto incorporating its main aim "The Quality Workshop for Repair with Care". Both the two gentlemen had a vast, varied administrative and technical experience which helped in establishing a fully equipped workshop. An appropriate site was chosen and hired for the purpose. The equipment was also carefully selected and orders were placed by mid May 2000. Plot No 214, in Sector I-10/3 was taken over on 1st July 2000. The workshop was made fully operational by 1st August 2000 with the financial help and prayers of relatives, friends and well-wishers. A team of experienced and fully trained staff was hired and positioned. In the initial days there were no customers so the staff played cricket to while away the time. Gradually the word spread that the most modern workshop in Islamabad for car repairs was waiting to deliver quality care to all makes and types of vehicles. The management did not resort to any type of advertisement, instead it relied on its own quality service. Its valued and satisfied customers spread the good word around and by the grace of Allah the workshop was full in no time. Over seventeen years have been past in which the workshop has come a long way. It now stands fully equipped with the latest technology and tools in the automobile repair industry. In brief the workshop provides all kinds of repair under one roof. Most of the staff on roll has already worked with different 3-S dealerships and is proud of its workmanship and experience. The workshop is housed in a large commercial plot measuring 3333 sq. yards on a main road. The entire area is enclosed in four walls and is fully guarded round the clock. It has the complete expertise and infrastructure for repair of all makes and types of cars. "Auto Club" is considered to be the "Best Workshop" by its discerning customers and casual visitors who value quality.
