Founded in 1976 in the UAE, UNEC now has its head office in Dubai with branch offices in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Fujairah, Riyadh in Saudi Arabia and Amman in Jordan. The Company was founded by its Managing Director, Mr. Abdul Halim Muwahid, who had previously spent several years with one of the biggest construction companies in the region. Mr. Abdul Halim Muwahid remains as Managing Director and takes an active role in directing all the day to day issues of the Company and its subsidiaries, M/s Safemix and UNEC Carpentry and Joinery. UNEC, with over 37 years of construction excellence, has developed a reputation and a portfolio covering a wide range of project experiences by utilizing construction management, quality assurance and control, innovative technology, communication, teamwork and adhering to stringent health and safety policies. UNEC’s project portfolio ranges from Industrial, commercial as well as residential developments and has successfully handed over projects such as multi-storey residential and office buildings, low cost housing, hospitals, schools, mosques and high specification hotels.
