The Institute of Child Health as a part of the project planned to impart training and education to the followings:-
The doctors, for the postgraduate qualification in the field of Paediatric Medicine and Paediatric Surgery. Post Fellowship training to the doctors who wished to work in specialized fields of Paediatric – recognized for FCPS-II training in six specialties.
The nurses for their diplomas and post diploma qualifications – since April 1994 functioning.
The paraprofessionals and Allied Health Profession in various fields.

The Department of Medical Education was established in 1999, at The Children’s Hospital & The Institute of Child Health, Lahore.
