Chief Technology Officer Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for digitizing the entire company operations. Setting company technical vision and leading the company’s technological development
Academic experience with exposure in participating in seminars, conferences, research publications representing the organization
Up -to -date with the current (and future) levels of IT security, threats, vulnerabilities that could impact the company’s digital and financial assets
Reduction in the cost of operations by leveraging the digital shift.
Optimizing and managing the technology network in a manner it delivers high efficiency with sufficient resilience and yet managing costs effectively
Developing strategic plans and setting timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of all technical, web, and mobile services
Identifying opportunities for web and mobile services
Collaborating with department heads, marketing, production, and operations as an advisor of all technologies involved with the company
Ensuring technology standards and best practices are met
Monitoring web analytics and making recommendations that align with business goals
Supervising quality assurance processes, integration, and system tests
Establishing software development process and set objectives for the process
Mentoring team members
Identifying company web user needs
Monitoring performance profiling tools and procedures
Maintaining network security with IT team
Reviewing timeframes and budgets
Developing and implementing disaster and emergency recovery plans
Supervising workflow of IT department
Defining company standards for systems, equipment, and software
Sharing technological visions, opportunities, and risks company-wide
Studying current and new industry trends, technologies, and software development
Studying information processing systems to evaluate the effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
Representing the company at conferences and networking events
Ensuring the company’s technological processes and service comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations
Develop and maintain an overall framework of IT policies, standards, and strategies that will empower business and people to deliver on their commitments to the strategy and budgets
As part of the business continuity plan, ensure that there is no failure in business operations and appropriate plans are in place and regularly tested for readiness for unforeseen and unexpected events that can impact the business continuity.
Will have a pivotal role in supporting the business departments and meeting their needs in a time-bound manner
Define the priorities, objectives, and targets that underpin what contributes to the delivery of value to business aligned with best practices and standards
Ensure efficiency in process/operations across the company
Identify security threats, formulate strategies and methods to mitigate the threats
Developing long term plans to sustain and support the business, anticipating future trends
Lead strategic insight and overview of business case justifications and ROI analysis for IT spending and initiatives
Ensure total quality management through uniform processes and procedures
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Chief Technology Officer Requirements and Qualifications
Strong project management skills and management of development, maintenance, and support teams.
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with peers, brand leaders, and other senior management throughout the company
Able to be a “big picture” thinker
Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills

Confident in producing and presenting work
In-depth understanding of the industry
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field; Master’s degree in information technology or a technology-related discipline preferred
Eight to ten years’ experience in a software development role, information technology role, or related field; five years in management or leadership role
Experience with technology relative to the industry
Strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement/sales goals
Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
Excellent analytical and time-management skills
