The demand for homemade food is real. We are getting busier by the day, and it has become increasingly challenging to cook a fresh, wholesome meal at home. We either don't have the time to cook or can't seem to make it to the grocery store or the cook doesn't show up! No one enjoys doing these chores, especially the cleaning up after. Every day you see plenty of queries on different social media pages and groups of people asking for leads and suggestions to get either lunch boxes at work or meal plans for the entire week or month for their home or some authentic specialty dish. We saw the potential in the homemade and chef-crafted food industry back in 2016 when companies like Airbnb and Uber (now share economy giants) were gaining traction and realized that the home-cooked food economy needed a better platform to take off exponentially. That is what led to the foundation of HomeChef! We set out on a journey to discover what "foodies" desire and what challenges "home cooks" face to create a platform which would allow seamless commerce and interaction between both "foodie" and "chef." Today, HomeChef comprises both web and mobile apps (on Android and iOS) plus a robust chef and operations hub which is capable of tracking each dish from when the chef lists it to however many times it is ordered and delivered to a foodie.
